Report on different kind of barriers for shallow geothermal in deep renovation
In order to explore ways to overcome the barriers and to unleash the great potential SGE has for saving energy and avoiding emissions, this report presents the collection and analysis of obstacles against SGE use in building refurbishment. The barriers are grouped into two main types, technical and nontechnical barriers, with an extra section considering the specific problems posed by historic buildings.

Overview of vertical geothermal heat exchangers and corresponding drilling machine techniques
The state-of-the-art of BHE and of shallow geothermal drilling has been reviewed, and the technologies have been evaluated in the light of application for shallow geothermal energy in existing buildings. Furthermore, site constraints for drilling in the built environment have been discussed.

Production of leaflet and brochure
The leaflet presents – in a concentrated form – the main information on the project, namely: title, acronym, addressed call and topic, general information, composition of the Consortium partners, general and specific objectives. The leaflet contains also information on the pilot case studies and on the real and virtual demo sites, which will serve to prove the viability of the technical solutions to be developed during the project’s evolution.
The brochure presents the same information as above, but in a more detailed form.

Production of project website
This document presents both the preparatory activities achieved prior to actual construction of the project’s website – such as: registration of a domain name and its purchase, elaboration of the offer request, launch of the offer requests, selection of the most qualified bidder and con-tract signing – and the construction of the first version of the project’s website by the selected webmaster, according to the technical specifications agreed upon with the partners of the consortium, as well.

Report on Training, Education and Dissemination Plan
The TED Plan covers all the training, education and dissemination activities which will be performed by the partner’s consortium during the lifetime of the project. The TED Plan will be updated and completed for each reporting period (12, 24, 36 months). All the TED deliverables are public and will be uploaded in the public area of the project website.

This Quality Project Plan for the GEO4CIVHIC consortium specifies quality assurance requirements and applicable standards and procedures during the four years European project GEO4CIVHIC. The Quality Project Plan was produced by the Coordinator with the help of the support Team established during the Kick-off meeting. It is structured into the sections Organisation, Planning, Controls and Reviews.
This document provides a plan that identifies the responsibilities of the consortium beneficiaries and the process for executing quality requirements. The primary objective of this document is to establish a Quality Plan that will be ensuring high quality results and smooth processes within the consortium during the project.
