Four Mandarins sitting on a desk.
Hi Friend,
Yesterday, I needed a work break, so I lined four Mandarins on my desk. They looked cute, and then I imagined them dancing. That led me to create this stop-motion video I posted on Instagram.

Some friends messaged me concerned. "This isn't a good sign," one wrote.

Why? We're all stuck at home, so I decided to make something silly that might make someone smile. Plus, it scratched a creative itch.

We're all coping as best we can. As we're social distancing, let's also give each other space to live, create, and survive in these odd and challenging times. Don't let anyone quarantine shame you. ☺️

Wondering why or how to use content marketing during the pandemic? I was, too. Then I read this article.

One Tool

Sometimes you need the perfect word or phrase. OneLook can help. I should probably be embarrassed by how often I use OneLook.

One Tip

Read a poem to start your day. Doing so will calm you, not make you anxious, and it will put you in a creative spirit. Get a daily poem emailed to you through Pome.

One Example

Some brands are nailing communication right now, but I've been most impressed with restaurant chain Sweetgreen. Their customer emails are candid and transparent, as is this page.

One Quote

"If you’re not responsible for delivering breaking news or important COVID-19 updates, look for opportunities to amplify joy, gratitude, hope, or any other positive emotion. People are looking for health and safety updates, but they’re looking for inspiration, too." - Amanda Milligan

Seriously, no judgment for how we're spending our time at home.
