Current Calgary Firearms Centre Covid Protocols

The Calgary Firearms Centre is continuing to operate by booking only. Individuals, households, and cohorts are permitted to book a session on Trap, Skeet, or 5 Stand.

Please call the CFC at (403)256-0665 during regular business hours to book your shooting time.

Wednesday: 12pm - Dusk
Thursday - Saturday: 12pm - 6pm
Sunday: 1pm - 5pm

Calgary Firearms Centre Shotgun Leagues
Our Women and Youth Shotgun Leagues are back on, and we are enjoying some wonderful weather now that summer is officially here! League shooting starts at 4:30 each Wednesday to the end of the Spring session (June 30). Our Summer session which starts on July 7 will begin at 6:00pm and will run for six consecutive weeks. Shooters of all abilities are welcome, and coaching is free for those who want it. Youth shooters (from 10 years to 17 years of age) are welcome as well, and will receive supervision and coaching from our certified coaches. The cost for Women’s League is $60 League fee (prorated), $7.50 for a round of 25 targets, and $8.95 for a box of ammunition. Shotguns are provided free of charge for those who need one and youth pay nothing except for ammunition.
Come on out and check out our Women and Youth Leagues at the Calgary Firearms Center located in the beautiful Hills of DeWinton each Wednesday evening starting at 4:30pm (6:00pm in July). Arrive when you can, leave when you must!

Firearms Wanted!

Maybe you've inherited a firearm you don't want to keep, or have a firearm you no longer use, but would like to see it go to a good cause? AHEIA is a not-for-profit organization that provides conservation and outdoor education to the public, and your donation allows us to continue delivering and expanding our programs.

AHEIA accepts firearms as donations to support our conservation education programming. We will provide a tax receipt for the donation value.

Pleasure Craft Operator Training

Get your Canadian Boating Licence through AHEIA's Online Pleasure Craft Program!

Anyone operating a motorized pleasure craft in Alberta is required to hold proof of education from a Transport Canada–approved course. Follow these 3 simple steps to get your PCOC (Boating Licence)

  1. Use our easy online course to study for your test on any internet-enabled device.
  2. Pass the online test (unlimited free retries, if needed). 
  3. Immediately print your temporary card while we mail you your permanent card.

This online course may be taken from any internet-enabled computer and can be paused and returned to at any time. There is a federally-required minimum time set for each module. You must view the slide modules for the required amount of time before being permitted to move onto the next module and complete the course.

Attention all anglers! Have you tried AHEIA's new Identification of Alberta's Game Fish Quiz?

This Free Quiz is aimed towards new and experienced fishing enthusiasts alike to teach them the key identifying features for 21 of Alberta's commonly caught game fish.
