National i-THRIVE Community of Practice
August 2021

Save the date: i-THRIVE Grids: Developing a shared decision making tool for Integrated Care Systems Workshop

Date: Thursday 11th November
Time: 2 - 4pm

Based on feedback from the National i-THRIVE Community of Practice where the current titles of the i-THRIVE Grids no longer feel a helpful distinction given the move to Integrated Care Systems, we took the grids to a young people’s feedback forum and young people gave their suggestions. We would welcome your feedback or suggestions on what may be a more helpful and accurate descriptor. Please complete our brief poll here.

Contact us if you would like to showcase how your locality has implemented the i-THRIVE Grids. The team will provide coaching and practical support to build confidence and skill for anyone willing to share their learning.

NHS Confederation (2021), Reaching the tipping point: Children and young people's mental health

The NHS Confederation published a report this month considering the 'impact the pandemic has had on children and young people’s mental health, the services that support them, and how local systems are working in new ways to confront the issues before them.'

The THRIVE Framework for system change was cited 'as a way to deliver integrated, person-centred and a needs-led approach to delivering mental health services for children and young people' that has been implemented across many systems.

Partnership working is a key principle of the THRIVE Framework and implementing the framework supports effective cross-sector working, with shared responsibility, accountability and mutual respect between agencies.

Greater Manchester launch their e-learning module: Intro to Arts, Culture and Mental Health

This exciting new module demonstrates the value of arts and culture for mental health and is available to anyone working with children and young people in Greater Manchester (GM).

How to access the e-learning: The module is based on the GM Learning Hub. The hub is a platform where you can access GM i-THRIVE Training and is accessible using just your professional email address. You can sign up here: https://app.melearning.co.uk/auth/validate-key?registerKey=XQDRKYWF     (open in Chrome).

You will be asked to create an account, and what locality in Greater Manchester you work in (if more than one, select where you work most regularly), and what sector of the workforce you work. You will be automatically enrolled on the Intro to Arts, Culture and Mental Health training.

As long as you are working in Greater Manchester you can access all hub content for free.
If you have any queries about implementing the THRIVE Framework for system change (Wolpert et al., 2019), please contact the team at ithriveinfo@tavi-port.nhs.uk. We will endeavour to help in any way we can.
