In a time when sustainability is top-of-mind for companies and consumers alike, there are a number of ways brands can have a positive impact throughout the supply chain, including: ingredient sourcing, production, distribution and packaging

One of Foodboro's newest Partner Members,
ePac Flexible Packaging, gives small to medium-sized CPG companies (in the food & beverage space and beyond) the ability to compete with larger brands by offering great packaging that contributes to the creation of a more sustainable, circular economy.

As an eco-friendly company, ePac is committed to creating a more sustainable world through the development of earth-friendly packaging solutions, energy-efficient production process, and involvement in local communities.

So, how else is ePac navigating the future of packaging for food & beverage, and how can they help YOUR brand...?

Stand out on shelves with professional packaging

Great packaging speaks volumes for your brand. It's the first thing a retailer and customer will notice about your brand. What does it say about who you are as a company? What does it say about the product?

Your package communicates brand quality, and can also extend product shelf life and boost consumer engagement.

And with digital printing, you can compete with big brands, regardless of the size of your business. The technology allows you to create incredible graphics with photo-like quality. Ordering custom pouches with digitally printed flexible packaging gives you the opportunity to differentiate your brand’s image and customize through short runs.

ePac's technology gives you the freedom of personalization for customized packaging and messaging for your brand to reach various markets. Plus, shorter runs mean more opportunity to create various flavors and designs.

How ePac is supporting the environment through sustainable packaging practices

Elimination of plate + set-up fees

Digital printing provides a handful of economical benefits to brands. ePac’s use of HP Indigo 20000 digital printers eliminate the need to produce and process plates and cylinders during the printing process, reducing the amount of energy expended during setup and production. This also allows for minimal print set-up compared to conventional printing (flex and rotogravure), which use higher volumes of ink and substrates.

Reduction in excess inventory

With the ability to print to demand, run multiple SKUs and place low minimum orders, we are able to drastically reduce obsolescence and costs for our customers. Customers are able to take advantage of our short turnaround times and low minimum orders to run more promotions, create limited edition packaging, and test new products in the market.

Ability to run multiple SKUs at once

ePac’s digital printing capabilities allow brands to run multiple SKUs in one run. Within each run, we optimize the 30″ printing web to maximize impressions, therefore reducing waste. Without the use of plates, the costs associated with the need for multiple plates are eliminated, as well as the high-minimum order quantities required with traditional printing.
