We pray for...

Rachel Seibel is grateful that her recent scan indicated that her bone tumors are no longer lighting up, which is a good sign. She is scheduled to have a procedure on her liver in June. She is grateful that she can have that procedure done here in Meridian and she requests prayer that her liver will be healthy enough and have the appropriate enzyme levels in order for her to be able to do the procedure.

Paul Shelly requests continued prayer for his mother, Helen. This past Tuesday it was discovered that she suffered an ischemic stroke, which could explain the sudden confusion and cognitive decline she experienced recently. She will undergo antiplatelet treatments. Let's pray for her and the family as she recovers from the stroke and transitions to an assisted living facility.

Deweese Turner is grateful for the support of Jubilee and she asks Jubilee to join her in praying for her daughter to come to know Jesus.

Kelsey Luke requests prayer for an end to the violence in our community.

Joel Diener requests prayer for Lindsay. In the past week she has been struggling with frequent nausea and fatigue. Please pray for peace and perseverance as well as health for Lindsay and their unborn child.

There is a denominational delegate meeting for Mennonite Church USA scheduled for May 27-30. Mike Clymer, Zoe Clymer and Kelsey Luke will be representing our congregation as delegates. Everyone is encouraged to share their opinions regarding the resolutions with one of Jubilee’s delegates by next Sunday. Feedback can be shared via an email, a letter, over the phone or in person.

The Pastor Search Committee (PSC) continues to do the process of discernment of potential pastor candidates with the goal of the best match of pastor candidate gifts and needs of Jubilee.  When the PSC is ready to make a recommendation, it will go to the council.  The church council will then process that recommendation.  It is the church council that determines what recommendation comes to the congregation.  If you have any questions, please contact any PSC member (Suzanne Opel, Melody Clymer, Jeff Landis, Lisa Shelly).

Jubilee has a summer camp scholarship fund to provide financial assistance for children and youth who are interested in attending summer camp at Pine Lake Camp. If you would like to contribute toward the scholarship fund you can give online by scrolling to the bottom of this email or you can write a check to Jubilee and designate it for camp scholarships. If you would like to request scholarship funds, please talk to Joel Diener.
