Jeff shared about mercy in his sermon this Sunday.

Check out this song he recommends by The Porter's Gate:

PRAYER FOR UKRAINE
Adapted from Kayla Craig

O God of peace, our hearts are heavy and our brains can barely keep up with the breaking news. We don't know what to say or what to do in the world so wounded. So, we come to You with hearts heavy for all who sit in the crossfire of violence and acts of war.

O God of peace, be with the people of Ukraine… with all who feel overwhelmed by fear and obscurity, with the mothers who carry babies to subway shelters, with the fathers who hold their heads in their hands, with the children who absorb the traumas of violent acts of the powerful.

O God of peace, we don't know the words to pray for a warring world and all who are vulnerable in it. We don't pretend to know the extent of the damages or what tomorrow (or today) will bring. But, we know that you are a God of peace whose heart breaks when we try to bomb our way to Shalom.

O God of peace, comfort the crying and heal the hurt. Tend the aching and soothe fearful. Make us instruments of your peace, creating a sacred symphony where rhythms of grace are danced upon and evil has lost its sting, now and forever more.

We pray for...

Kelsey Luke is grateful for your prayers. Her grandmother, Gail, is still recovering from heart problems and is very weak. Please continue praying for her doctors and family as they care for her.

Deweese Turner requests prayer for the blood clot in her leg. She has recovered from a procedure but is still in some pain. She is grateful for the healing that has already happened.

Emma Myers requests prayer for her sister Hilda and her family as they mourn the loss of Hilda's husband.

Fern Diener requests prayer for her mother who tested positive for COVID. She has been vaccinated and is managing well so far. Please pray her health continues to be strong and for those caring for her.

Linda Beatty's brother, Charles Williamson, had concerning results from a recent colonoscopy. Charles has a history of heart trouble and cancer. Please pray for him and his doctors as they decide how best to proceed.

Marcus Diener requests prayer for his cousin Maynard and his wife Barb. Maynard was seriously injured in an accident and was told he would not live long following his liver shutting down. His parents and children have been able to see him and say goodbye. Please continue praying for them  and Maynard as they wait with him and mourn together.
If you have any prayer requests you would like shared in the pastoral prayer time of this Sunday's worship service, please send them to Joel Diener or Kelsey Luke.

As of today, Jubilee's free store is not accepting donations. We have been blessed with an abundance of items. We will make requests for donations as needed moving forward.

Calling all Women: You do not want to miss this Women's Retreat! Book it on your calendar now!  It all starts on Friday night, April 1 with a
PARTY IN PERSIA (AKA Tall Pines at PLFC) along with the beautiful Queen Esther.  Bring your friends, and pack your pajamas. See flyer for details.

The Everence Sharing Fund provided $1,219.96 in matching funds to support various needs in our church last year! In 2021 these funds went to the Samaritan Fund and to the Food Pantry. Cheryl Landis serves as the Everence advocate for Jubilee. Please contact her for more information.

In response to questions and concerns shared with Jubilee leadership, the Elders and the Transitional Team are inviting all to complete a brief survey at the conclusion of the worship service on Sunday, March 6. The survey will be anonymous and will gather information on personal beliefs within Jubilee regarding women in pastoral leadership and LGBTQ. The data will be compiled for reflection and discussion with hopes of discerning how we can best respond individually and congregationally as we move forward together. Questions? See Joel Diener, Kelsey Luke, or Del Glick.

MCC (Mennonite Central Committee) will be responding to the crisis in Ukraine through its local partners. Russian military forces have invaded the country with missiles striking major cities and casualties continuing to grow. Your prayers and donations will help partners scale up their work providing relief and trauma healing for vulnerable and displaced people. You can donate today at mcc.org/Ukraine.

Up to seven times?”
