Find out how it was with the lighting in the past. Head to the close town of Příbor, where you can enjoy an engaging exhibition even in times of Corona. Photos of various historical lights - whether simple torches, burners, lamps on for vegetable and animal fat, tallow and wax candles, or alcohol and kerosene lamps - and the basic means of lighting a fire or maintaining a flame are displayed in the windows of the Center of Traditional Technologies.

Although the National Technical Museum is temporarily closed, it is possible to look at the museum at least virtually. Visit the online Transport Hall and the Coal and Ore Mine exhibition. In the Transport Hall, it is also possible to look into the interiors of the exhibits, such as the saloon car of Emperor Franz Josef I. Link to the virtual tour here.

State of Emergency until February 14
The state of emergency was extended by the government up until 14 February. In addition to that, all the valid crisis measures meant to suppress the spread of COVID-19 up were extended until the same date as set out in the new anti-epidemic system of the Ministry of Health. After that, the measures will be repealed, loosened, or extended.
The government made a minor adjustment to the crisis measure restricting retail and services, now allowing childcare facilities for children up to three to run on a daily basis.
