How the World Is Made

Upaya Zen Center on Zoom
Sunday, March 5 | 10:00 am – 4:00 pm MT / 9:00 am – 3:00 pm PT
Note: This is a correction of the date given in the March newsletter.

Norman will speak about two of Dogen’s Shobo Genzo fascicles, “Space” and “Spring and Autumn.” Both appear in Kazuaki Tanahashi’s translation, Treasury of the True Dharma Eye: Zen Master Dogen’s Shobo Genzo.

In these essays, Dogen describes how we construct a world with our preferences and our mistaken views — and how we can deconstruct that world to find a true world that we can live in with joy.
