December 2018 Newsletter
Year in Review

This year was incredible, filled with so many great opportunities and experiences. It has been fun and humbling to reflect on 2018. Here is a look back at some of my favorite moments.

Wishing you all a happy, healthy new year!

Sam and the Spearheaders. I led my second recital at Berklee College of Music featuring several of my original compositions and arrangements for a 10-piece jazz ensemble.

Internship at Noteflight. I had a summer internship at Noteflight, a music notation software company. The most exciting project during my time at Noteflight was helping to launch Noteflight Marketplace, a new platform for buying and selling music. I have many compositions and arrangements for sale.

Boysie Lowery Living Jazz Residency. I had an incredible time in Wilmington, Deleware playing with some of the most talented jazz students in the country. It was such an inspiring environment and is still pushing me to keep working hard.

Tribute to Women in Jazz. My student club, Women in Jazz Collective, put on our second annual concert. I was honored to play a duet with my amazing mentor, Ayn Inserto.

Jazz and Gender Justice Panel Discussion. I was humbled to be asked to participate in a round table discussion on Jazz and gender for the Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice.

Berklee Concert Jazz Orchestra. It was my dream since my first semester at Berklee to be in this ensemble, and it was surreal to perform with the BCJO in the Berklee Performance Center this month!
