Judge Tommy Turner, LaRue County, Chairs the December 6th Water Management Planning Council meeting. Several new or amended water and wastewater project profiles were approved by the Council. Mr. Mike Burress also presented a report on the Public Water & Wastewater Infrastructure Task Force recommendations.  Mr. Burress, served on the Task Force as a representative of the Area Development Districts.  For more information on the Task Force and see the link at the Legislative Research Committee's website HERE.
Elizabethtown - Fort Knox MSA ranks #3 as "Best Places to Work in Manufacturing" per Smartasset's annual study.  The study ranked 376 metro areas across the United States.  Overall manufacturing job growth contributed to the ranking.  For more info see the Smartasset website HERE.

The Kentucky Medicaid Waiver programs help provide services to individuals who would otherwise be in an institution, nursing home, or hospital to receive long-term care in the community. These programs allow participants to choose the services that best fit their needs, such as assistance with daily living activities, behavior supports, and community involvement. LTADD serves a total of 160 Medicaid waiver participants. On left is the breakdown of how many individuals are enrolled in the various programs.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

Salary Range:  $33,000 - $37,500
 
Lincoln Trail Area Development District (LTADD), a multi-jurisdictional, planning and development agency, is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to serve as Community Development Specialist.  Position provides direct support and coordination within the Community Development department.  Requires a Master’s degree in Planning, Public Administration, Political Science or related field; and at least one-year related experience.  A Bachelor’s degree in one of the above fields combined with three years of related experience is acceptable.
 
Areas of work concentration include community planning and development with emphasis on State and Federal programs.  Must have grant writing and loan packaging skills, be able to handle multiple projects, and work effectively with staff, public officials and general public; and, provide technical assistance in the areas of data collection, report formulation and analysis.

LWCF used to protect important natural areas, acquire land for outdoor recreation and to develop or renovate public outdoor recreation facilities.
