April 2020

Due to the COVID-19 Virus, all staff are telecommuting.
You may reach us via email or phone @ 270-769-2393

Please be assured that we will continue to stay abreast of what action and information develops at the local and regional level and will still continue to participate and provide input within the constraints and protocols from local and regional organizations. Our mission still holds to continue our work from home as effective and efficient as possible in these times. All staff will be equipped to perform their duties and supervisors will communicate and monitor their progress.
Anyone can contact our staff through the normal communication channels. Staff will be regularly checking voicemails and they can be reached by email. (Every staff email address is accessible on our website).  Services to the senior citizens and waiver clients will be carried out under the guidelines and directions from DAIL and Medicare offices. We will continue to attend all conference calls with staff in Frankfort and Washington program staff as requested. We have planned  and prepared to make sure no services are interrupted or be detrimental to our clients.
We will evaluate each week and review the situation.  You will be informed of updates and changes on a regular basis as well.
We understand this is not the norm for us to serve our region but during this uncertainty and constantly changing environment, safety and health of staff and families is most critical.

These measures are for your safety and ours.  We apologize for any inconvenience these policy changes may cause.  We appreciate your cooperation and consideration.

Because your health and safety, as well as that of our communities is of the utmost priority, we are postponing the

April 15, 2020 Annual Meeting of the
Lincoln Trail Area Development District’s

We will reschedule this event in late summer/early Fall.  Invitations have already been mailed, so please disregard at this time.

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) announced today he created a _Coronavirus Response Portal_ on his website to help Kentuckians who may have questions related to how the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act will help their families, organizations, small businesses, and communities take advantage of the provisions in the legislation.

The portal can be accessed by Kentucky families and small businesses owners who may have questions related to unemployment insurance, low-interest federal loans, federal taxes and relief checks, federal grants, and assistance for Kentuckians traveling or living abroad.

During this time the Lincoln Trail Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living is working with Community Action and the Senior Centers within our District to ensure that every senior over the age of 60 years has the opportunity to obtain a meal Monday-Friday.  All Seniors Centers, with the exceptions of Bradfordsville, Loretto and New Haven which are closed at this time, are offering a drive thru Hot meal for the Seniors in our community at no cost.  Seniors are required to call the Senior Center the day prior to reserve their meal to ensure enough meals have been prepared.  Any New Senior not currently enrolled will be asked to provide basic demographic information upon their 1st pick-up.  Seniors can also pre-register by calling the Lincoln Trail ADD’s Aging Department at 1-800-264-0393 or (270) 737-6082.

If you are aware of a senior in their home who is isolated, with no means of transportation or no family support in Marion or Washington Co. please contact the ADD for a Meals Pilot Program at 1-800-264-0393 or (270) 737-6082.
