"Aging Trivia"
New Seniors have been added to each program on nearly a daily basis. LTADD has removed all Seniors from the wait list. Meade County Meal recipients have been offered additional vouchers to assist them during this difficult time. If you know of a Senior needing assistance, please have them contact 270-737-6082.
In accordance with the Older Americans Act regulations, the LTADD Area Agency on Aging & Independent Living has the Community Needs Assessment Survey open to gather public feedback. The results of this assessment are used to identify the needs of the elderly and disabled residents in the LTADD region.

  • The population rate of increase in LTADD still exceeds the State as a whole, even though it is slowing. Stats America is a source for demographic data. Individual county data is also available. For more information contact Mr. Jim Skees. 
  • Elizabethtown Community & Technical College is offering several exciting short-term training programs. Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding may be available to those interested in career training. Contact the Kentucky Career Center-Lincoln Trail nearest you for more information. Programs available include the following:
    • Greater Knox Coding Academy
    • Nurse Assistant Apprenticeship Program
    • Production Technician Program
    • CDL Program

  • The Kentucky Workforce Innovation Board has scheduled a meeting on Nov. 4 for community partners in the Lincoln Trail region to provide feedback on how COVID-19 has affected Kentucky’s workforce system and delivery of services. Feedback will help inform the 2022 WIOA State Plan modification which outlines how we are helping job seekers find high-quality jobs and careers and employers hire and retain skilled workers. If you would like to participate, the Zoom meeting information is below.
