Why Join a Table Group?

A few years ago, I preached a sermon on loneliness. I will summarize the issue in a sentence: loneliness is an epidemic that affects our mental AND physical health more than plenty of other conditions that get more attention. So let’s prioritize one another’s health by investing in community. That’s what our Table Groups are all about. Here’s some helpful information:

Why- Building relationships in a consistent small group setting
How- One thoughtful question will guide conversation each time
When- 4 times a year, with flexibility to schedule as each group desires
Where- Your group host will communicate the date and location
Who- We currently have 8 table groups, and we are adding more folks each week. If you’d like to participate, click here to sign up!

If you’ve previously signed-up, we’ll assume you’re still interested unless we hear otherwise. Give us a few weeks to re-work some of the groups and include new folks, and you will be hearing from your table group hosts in October.

Thank you for saying NO to loneliness and YES to community!

Confirmation and Messy Church Begin in October

Confirmation orientation meeting for parents & students Sept. 29 at 7pm. We’ll discuss the expectations, general timeline, selecting a mentor, and answer any questions. If you are interested and willing to serve as a mentor for a confirmand, let Pastor Emily know soon!

Messy Church is set to BEGIN AGAIN Wed. Oct. 6th at 5:30pm. We’ll make great use of our newly renovated fellowship hall. Our October theme is Harvest: God’s Work, Our Hands AND the meal will be a potluck to kick-off the year.

The Apostle Paul says, I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. -1 Corinthians 3: 6-8
