Value in Learning: A Growth Mindset

As our community gears back up for another school year, we are aware of many challenges that remain, balancing the emotional, social, mental, and physical health of our students, staff, and community. Last year, Pierre & Ft. Pierre churches and pastors teamed up to offer prayer and praise at Steamboat Amphitheatre with a “Back-to School Community Worship Night.” This year, with variants of Covid-19 emerging in the community, we remain committed to ushering in the new school year with prayer & blessing. Read on to find out how we as a community & congregation plan to provide faith, hope, and love to our students and educators.

This Sunday in worship, we’ll also engage the wisdom of Solomon and the value of committing to a life-long attitude of learning and spiritual growth. Join us this Sunday in 10am worship, as you feel comfortable. We are encouraging masks for any who feels this is a prudent choice given an increase in Covid-19 cases.

We rejoice at the addition of Henslee Kay, Justin & Lindsey Evans’ daughter, with proud big brother Tayson. Congrats also to Grandma Annette July and the whole Evans family. If you’d like to support the Evans & the soon-expecting Avery Vanden Bos & family with freezer meals, make plans to drop off a freezer meal or two on FRIDAY Aug. 27th between 9am-1pm (note the time change).
