Due to the still ongoing difficulties caused by the pandemic, we will hold the Assembly in hybrid form, the Board elections will be digital only.
In spite of all the difficulties, this has the advantage that all voting members (physical and virtual museums) will be able to vote virtually.
We will soon communicate the exact procedure of the election as such, now it is about recruiting and introducing candidates for the next period of the Executive Board.
As a reminder: The Executive Board consists of at least 5 and not more than 7 persons, ideally from different continents; consisting of Chairwoman, Deputy Chairwoman, Treasurer and up to four more members. They shall be elected for the period of 4 years. Any full member (physical and virtual museums) can be elected and re-elected.
Tasks: The Executive Board members are responsible for the management of the Association and shall do their utmost to promote IAWM in the context of the Statutes and the resolutions of the General Assembly. The Executive Board usually meets virtually around once a month for a meeting of 1-2 hours.
Eligible for Executive Board: Every full member if membership form and fees are in order.
How to candidate for the Executive Board? In order to conduct the elections in a well-informed and transparent manner we ask all members who want to run for the board to send your application documents to not later as 13th May 2021
  • a short biography (not more than 100 words and photo)
  • a short statement, why you want to join and what could you contribute to manage and promote IAWM (100 words).
All applications will be posted on the conference website in the part that is only accessible for members.

For your information please find here the statutes of 2016.

Almost all current board members are willing to present themselves again as candidates, but are happy to welcome new candidates for the next period.
