Panasonic sets sights on 100% renewable electricity
Panasonic, one of the world’s largest and most lucrative consumer electronics companies, has announced that it has joined the Climate Group’s RE100 – a programme focused on bringing the biggest businesses in the world together to commit to 100% renewable electricity within their operations.
By 2050, Panasonic has pledged to have entirely switched over to renewable sources of electricity alongside aiming for production that results in zero CO2 emissions.

Global trade to slow over next 3 months
Global Trade Barometer (GTB) for September 2019 shows a one point decline on the index and forecasts further loss in momentum for the next three months based on an analysis of ocean and air freight markets in China, Germany, Japan, India, South Korea and the United States. The report cautions continued decline, or at best zero growth, ahead.
Between Brexit, the U.S. trade war with China and a brewing trade conflict between Japan and South Korea, global trade has been faltering over the past two years.
