Ascension Meal and Worship
at Our Savior Lutheran Church
Thursday, May 18, 2023
From Pr. Mike Herschberger: Meal is a picnic grill with everything provided, but you are invited to bring your favorite "picnic" dessert if you would.
If you would be inclined to let Our Savior know that you'll be in attendance, please call our office at any time. This request is ONLY made to get an early estimate of attendees interested for preparation purposes. If you do not let us know and would like to attend, please, please come over--we'll have more than enough food, but without you, we'll be short on sisters and brothers!
The number to call is (641) 753-4108 any time. Please leave a message if there is no one there to answer the phone. We are looking forward to sharing Ascension food and worship with you.
The long awaited offering envelopes have finally arrived! You may pick yours up in the back of church after any worship service, or during office hours: Monday-Wednesday, 9:00 a.m-3:00 p.m.
Tuesday. Worship 5:30 p.m. Note: Recording next week will be on Wednesday, May 18 rather than on Tuesday.
On-Line Worship. We record every Tuesday evening at 5:30 p.m.
Baptisms. We celebrate private and in-worship baptisms.
NOTE: The parish council has made the decision to change the time of Sunday worship to 10:30 a.m. in order to enable Pr. Mike Herschberger of Our Saviour Lutheran, and Pr. Paul Waterman of Elim Lutheran to preside at worship going forward on an agreed upon alternating schedule.
COFFEE & CONVERSATION: Join us on Wednesday, May 17, at 10:00 am in the Fellowship Hall. Members of all three Marshalltown ELCA congregations are invited!
