Quilting Terms of the Month

Stiletto - A stiletto is a pointed tool quilters use to help with precision and protect fingers. A stiletto can be used to move fabric through the sewing machine, to grip fabric more carefully, or hold small seams open, among many other uses.
Basically, a stiletto helps a quilter with small detailed tasks that may be more difficult with one's fingertips.

Chain Stitching -  Chain stitching or chain piecing refers to the practice of stitching squares and blocks with one continuous length of thread rather than breaking between pieces. Chain stitching saves time by making their sewing more fluid and streamlined.

Our  Website: If you haven't checked it out yet, we've launched a new website design at We're super excited for the new look, which features a dresden-inspired landing page, followed by quilting piece links for the rest of the site and plenty of photos. Take a peek and let us know what you think!
