Mother Nature Storytime Returns
Last month we started Mother Nature Storytime back up, and we have since held two wonderful storytimes with more planned for March! During our February storytimes we read about winter, hibernation, and exploring nature in its coolest season (literally!). After storytime, our Animal Ambassadors made new friends with our visitors and we even spent some time outside looking for tracks in the snow on a sunny day! We are looking forward to more storytimes and moments of wonder as Spring approaches.

Outdoor Discovery Adventures On
A little bit of snow couldn't stop us from exploring during Outdoor Discovery last month- actually it made it even more fun! Last month we explored in snow and on sunny days and discovered what different parts of our park and the wildlife who live here are like in winter. We are excited for sunnier Spring days ahead and what adventures await us.
Wild Haven prepares to say goodbye to winter by celebrating the sap run! In March, we will practice using hand drills, learning about evaporators, trying sap from the trees in our park (and its final product), and making syrup paintings. It's a real sweet time in the forest.

Beautiful Dried Flower Arrangements at CMNC
We had a wonderful time at our Dried Flower Arranging Program last month. During our program, we went for a walk and then came back to decorate recycled vases and create beautiful dried flower arrangements from plants found in the park and cultivated ones, too. A huge thank you to Rawlings Conservatory for letting us use your celosia. We learned how to identify and collect natural materials and the participants left with beautiful arrangements to brighten their homes.
