Bassist Joe Plowman is at the center of a lot of music from D.C. to NYC. He freelances extensively besides regularly backing Chelsea Reed, music directing for Carsie Blanton, and leading his own groups. At the Bistro, he's performed more times than any other musician (Larry McKenna, Warren Vaché, Danny Tobias, Marty Grosz, Phil Orr, John Colianni – the list goes on), often powering the tempo and the groove without a drummer. Here, he brings some of his favorite musicians to swing some of the swingingest music you will hear this winter.
