There's a whole new way to get all of the SPARK Photo Festival exhibit details, right at your fingertips and on the go!
The Toureka! mobile app, developed by Peterborough’s Brad Carson, is free to download from app stores. On the app, you can preview SPARK exhibits and sample photos, read about the photographers, mark your favourites and get directions to fabulous photography installations that have been mounted in Peterborough city and county and in City of Kawartha Lakes through the month of April.
The interactive map on the website is the web-browser version of the app. There is also a print brochure (with an old-school map), free to pick up at exhibit venues. A grant from Ontario Trillium Foundation Community Building Fund made this digital innovation possible. It also covered a portion of the operating costs to help SPARK recover from the effects of the pandemic.
As always, you can also read about each exhibit, the photographers and see sample images on our website on the 2022 Festival Exhibits page, too!

Thank you to all who entered our 2022 Themed Juried Exhibit: Monochrome. We had a record number of photographers and images entered and the judges had a very difficult task to narrow it down to just twenty-five for the print exhibit. Emails announcing selected images were sent to photographers on March 3rd.
The print exhibit of the Top 25 images as determined by the jury is on display at April 1st at Chasing the Cheese. View the Juried Exhibit pagefor details. The prize winners will be announced in our virtual event tonight!
As well, due to the impressive number of entries (over 250 images!) we’re pleased to share a Virtual Exhibit of an extra 33 images in our “Judges’ Selects” . A gallery of images the judges determined also deserve recognition in addition to the Top 25 that are in the print exhibit.
