Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote
February 2020 Newsletter

We just scraped in a newsletter in February - but that's because we've been waiting to confirm big news - our first tour to Ireland. Catch us soon in Belfast or Dublin, and read on for news of new dates in Oxford and Southampton, and more!

IRELAND TOUR!
It's happening - we're going to Ireland on our first tour! Catch "Broadway Malady" in Belfast at The Shoe Factory on Friday 3 April and then in Dublin at Drop Dead Twice on Saturday 4 April. Fangelas will know that Ireland is special to JB Fletcher and Dame Angela Lansbury, (not to mention that the show is a favourite of the Derry Girls!), so we can't wait to get there!
BUSHFIRE RELIEF SUCCESS
A BIG thank you goes out to everyone who supported our fundraiser for the lovely town of Cobargo, one of many that suffered terribly in the recent Australian bushfires. With Fascist Panties also donating profits from goods sold on the night, we raised £731. Thank you!
SELL-OUT CROWD AT THE PCC
Oh boy we packed 'em in this month at the show in Leicester Square. New shows are going on sale soon, but be sure and get in quick for the next event on 16 April, the brilliant episode "The Corpse Flew First Class"
BSL INTERPRETED SHOW
We're delighted to announce that we are planning and developing a show at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern that will be British Sign Language (BSL) interpreted and designed especially for Deaf people. More details coming soon to upcoming events and our Facebook page
A KILLING IN OXFORD
Our first show in Oxford at the fabulous venue Freud's went down a treat. Perhaps it's because the town is no stranger to dozens of fictional televisual murders every year! New dates are being confirmed soon thanks to your embrace of the madness that is Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote. (And thank you Nicky Deverill for the pic above!).
MURDER, HE REVIEWED - MURDER IN TWO ACTS
Welcome to the second of my mini-book reviews. The early MSW novels were based on existing episodes and one half of this tome is a show we've done as a Solve-Along - the brilliant "Sing a Song of Murder". It's a fun way of filling in some plot gaps from the show - as well as enjoying a weirdly upbeat denouement that the episode couldn't give us. Great fun.
BIRMINGHAM MEETS PARIS
Stalwart Brummie venue Mama Roux's plays host to the magnifique episode "A Fashionable Way to Die" on 26 March, set on the catwalks of a very 1980s Paris. Oh it's a corker. Book soon
2020 CALENDAR FOR STAGE DOOR
The superbly camp venue The Stage Door in Southampton has become another home for the show, and we're thrilled to announce the full calendar for 2020. All shows are now on sale for the Saturdays of 9 May, 25 July, 26 September and 7 November at OutSavvy.
BLOWING-OUT-A-CANDLES!
I'll be presenting my second private birthday gig on Saturday 7 March and can't wait! If you'd like you're very own Solve-Along-A for your special day, drop me an email at solvealonga@gmail.com.
MURDER AMONG FRIENDS AT RVT
The home of Solve-Along, the historic Royal Vauxhall Tavern, is hosting the premiere of "Murder Among Friends". When Murder, She Wrote was programmed against Friends in its 12th season, JB found herself on the set of the fictional show Buds for this murderous parody. The show on 11 March is sold out but you can join the Waiting List here
