Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote
August 2020 Newsletter

We're back! Since the last newsletter we've been able to do an adapted version of the show at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern - thank you to everyone who supported the show. We have another one coming up on 26 August - read more to find out!

BACK TO CABOT COVE
It was an emotional return to the RVT on 6 and 13 August, with two hosted screenings of the classic episode "Murder Takes The Bus". In order to keep things safe there was no singalong, no party poppers and no jogging and a reduced audience capacity, but there were still plenty of laughs and joy. Thank you to everyone who joined us and hope to see you all again one day.
NEW SHOW AT THE RVT
We're very excited to announce another show at the RVT on Wednesday 26 August - the 'bonza' episode "Southern Double-Cross". It's a show we've only done once before at a fundraiser for the Aussie bushfires back in February, so we're delighted to give the Solve-Along treatment to JB Fletcher's only journey Down Under. Book soon - with a reduced capacity it's bound to sell out.

A NEW SUSPICIOMETER!
It has been said that some of the previous incarnations of the Fameometer and Suspiciometer bear an uncanny resemblance to a clothes dryer and a white board. Ridiculous! Nevertheless, we are thrilled to announce a new Fame/Suspiciometer, built by the wonderful Jake Evans, who specialises in stage props and sets. There's a sneak peak above at the fabulous instrument, which premiered at the RVT this month.

A TREAT FOR MYSTERY FANS
Agatha Christie meets Groundhog Day in this fascinating and deliciously complicated novel, in which the murder of the title character keeps happening until someone is able to solve it. It's loads of fun but don't leave it too long between chapters or you'll lose the plot!
AND THEN THERE'S MEME
Just for fun we've created a slideshow of every ridiculous Murder, She Wrote meme we've created to promote our shows. We're pretty sure Meme Slideshows aren't a thing, but being cool clearly isn't something that's ever bothered us!
WE WISH WE'D DONE THIS
Super-fan Peter Martin has created a brilliant YouTube video, re-enacting the opening credits as JB Fletcher encouraging everyone to wear a mask and stay safe. It's hilarious and we're fuming we didn't do it first!
JB GETS AN AGENT
I'm delighted and honoured to report that I'm now represented by The Soho Agency. Hopefully things will gradually return back to normal as we move into 2021 and we're very excited to see what the future holds.

THE BEST MASK EVER
Gadge Roberts, the artist and creator of Fascist Panties, has created the ultimate 2020 fashion accessory - a Murder, She Wrote facemask. There's also a Moira Rose (Schitt's Creek) version and a Golden Girls mask. You know you want to.

WHAT WOULD JB FLETCHER DO?
Finally, we want to send our love and support to all the fangelas who aren't yet ready or able to head out. Your safety is priority number one and we hope you're looking after yourself and look forward to seeing again in the future. As well as looking after your physical well-being, don't forget to ask for help with your mental health (yes, even your esteemed host has struggled). This is a link to range of different mental health charities and organisations with phone numbers you can call if you need to.
