Personal Assistive Devices Program

Our Personal Assistive Devices Program has been running since 2013 and we had helped and enabled people with disabilities improve their mobility and independence.
Over 227 assistive devices were donated to our society ranging from manual wheelchairs, power chairs, scooters, walkers, lift chairs, shower benches, toilet seat raisers, cushions, ramps, shower wheelchairs and more.
Since 2013, we've received 162 requests for personal assistive devices and we are working hard to meet the growing demand.
From 2018 to May 2020 alone, assistive devices given to the community were:
  • 12 scooters
  • 10 manual wheelchairs
  • 7 walkers
  • 6 lift chairs
  • 4 bathroom equipment
  • 2 power chairs
  • 2 shower chairs
  • 2 cushions
  • 2 commodes
  • 1 hospital bed table
  • 1 hospital bed
  • 1 bath lift
  • 1 bath bench
  • 1 toilet booster
  • 1 bathroom grab bar
  • 1 transport chair
  • A wire basket
  • A set of ramps.
We need your help! Requests for our personal assistive devices are growing and there is a big need in the community. We are particularly in need of 6 scooters.

If you have an assistive device that you no longer need, please donate it to our society so we can continue helping those in need. A tax receipt will be issued if required.
