Dear <<First Name>>,
HAPPY WORLD TABLE TENNIS DAY!!!
We thank each event organisers and participants of the 5th edition of the World Table Tennis Day and wish them a wonderful and fun 6 April. Today, we all share the love for our sport and contribute to make table tennis more universal, popular and inclusive.
848 events in 99 countries show your amazing contribution to this special date, which is at the same time the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace.
The ITTF Foundation headed this year to Uganda to celebrate together with 2 projects supported by the non-profit organisation: both HONECRIC and SLUM PING PONG use table tennis to lower school dropout rates among disadvantaged children, the first in a rural area, the second in urban slums.
With the motto “Nothing is impossible for those who believe” the inspiring Ibrahim Hamadtou from Egypt acts as a role model in Uganda and follows the legacy of Peter Karlsson, Melissa Tapper, Kanak Jha and Ryu Seung-min.
