March 14:  ISU 18th Annual Tech Expo
The Tech Expo will be held on Thursday, March 14, from 9:00AM-1:00PM when we showcase the limitless opportunities available to thousands of high school students, the Idaho State University community, and residents of Southeast Idaho. This large, interactive event will bring together ISU programs and majors with business and industry partners. For more information contact Shalee Butler at  butlshal@isu.edu.

March 28-30:  AAC&U's Diversity, Equity, and Student Success Conference in Pittsburgh, PA
The conference theme: "Engaged Inclusivity: Perceptions, Realities, and Aspirations" will examine what it means to work toward a campus environment where inclusivity thrives through constant reflection, analysis, and accountability.

Camp & Out-of-School Grants for camps serving underrepresented populations in STEM are available for current Idaho educational programs (schools, libraries, afterschool/nonprofit educational programs, workforce development training centers, etc.). This opportunity aims to improve learner understanding and experiences in the subjects of computer science, coding and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) in Idaho. Max funding per award: $10,000  Learn more

NASA DEVELOP is a capacity building program similar to an internship. This fantastic program has opportunities at a dozen sites across the US including the DEVELOP node at Idaho State University’s GIS Center. Applications for the summer term are being accepted through March 8th.  Apply

We want to learn more about what is going on with STEM and Diversity from around the state so please help us by submitting information from your institution. We hope to get e-news out on a monthly basis and grow our statewide awareness on STEM/Diversity issues so please submit your information by emailing sarahp@uidaho.edu.  Submissions can include:
  1. STEM/Diversity related articles or links to your institutional website for full articles or news releases (student features, new programs, etc.)
  2. STEM/Diversity related announcements (scholarships, internships, collaborative opportunities, grants etc.)
  3. STEM/Diversity related photos with detailed captions

Idaho Diversity Network

IDN supports STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) in Idaho and fosters communication across campuses to encourage the formation and dissemination of new ideas, values, and learning, and provides leadership to carry out integrative activities.

The Idaho Diversity Network involves Idaho’s three public universities and 2 and 4 year colleges and assists in creating sustainable partnerships, and strengthening recruitment and retention efforts, particularly for underrepresented minorities, women, and persons with disabilities.
