Important Public Notice

Due to the seriousness of the COVID-19 pandemic, effective immediately, we will only be accepting animals through the Department of Lands and Forestry, halting all new volunteer training and interviews, and limiting the number of people allowed on the property at any given time. This is to protect our staff and volunteers, to do our part to flatten the curve, and to ensure that our patients are still being taken care of during these uncertain times.

If you find an injured or sick animal, please contact your local Department of Lands and Forestry office, directory linked below.

We will update you on any changes in our procedures as the situation continues to evolve.
Thank you for your understanding and your continued support.

Cute Little Animals
& A Big Thank-you!

This month we started a Canada Helps campaign to raise funds for a new incubator for the nursery for upcoming baby season and beyond.

Well we raised the $2500 within 3 hours of the campaign going live!!
Let me tell you – that support brought tears to our eyes.
And the extra funds will go towards other items needed for
baby season – food, meds, housing etc.

As a thank-you and to help with any home schooling happening in your household, or just shack-whacky youth and adults alike -
we've got fun and games for you that can lead to learning about our amazing wildlife!

The Big Jeezley..
A big to-do!

CWRC was founded in 2001.
  • We took on raptors in 2006, and quickly recognized a need for a large raptor flyway!
  • 2006, we brainstormed ideas and plans and decided to try a continuous flyway design
  • 2007, we began fundraising for the building and had engineered plans drafted
  • 2013 The site was chosen and construction began in May
  • 2013 May through June land was cleared and leveled, the road was built
  • 2013 July, footings poured, construction was started
  • 2013 August, construction was complete
  • 2013 September, First patient entered the flyway.
The Big Jeezley was made possible by the generosity of many donors, in-kind donations from contractors and suppliers and the help of many volunteers.

Okay here;'s something VERY cool. Want to see the construction of the Big Jeezley from beginning to end? Yes? Well you can! Check out this amazing timelapse video of the construction.
If you'd like to see the Big Jeezley eagle flyway in action RIGHT NOW - you can!
Check out our live eagle cams 24/7!
Just
click here and note there are multiple camera options to click on to see the entire flyway - watch them eat, poop, bathe, play and more!

We currently have 1 eagle in an inner enclosure which can be viewed on one of the cameras and 7 eagles in the flyway.

Stay safe and take care of each other.

Thank you for your continued support!
