Quote of the week:
'The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.'
A busy week at Ash. Amazing outfits for World Book Day from pupils and staff. Thanks to all those who joined the Book Club this week. Remember: books are for life, not just for World Book Day.

The Parent Chat Ashburnham Recipe Book is nearly reading to print. It's looking brilliant already. If you have any last minute recipes you would like to add, please hand them in to the office or the class teachers. Ruby is going to finalise the draft so that we can have copies to sell in the Summer Term.
Eco Science Committee Report
Good afternoon Ashburnham. We hope everyone has had a great week.
Did you know that the UK produces more than 100 million tonnes of waste every year, one tonne is about the weight of a small car. In less than two hours, the waste we produce would fill the Albert Hall in London, every eight months it would fill Lake Windermere, the largest and deepest lake in England!
Please recycle responsibly over the week ahead and have a lovely weekend.
The clubs listed below all have spaces still available. These are fantastic after-school opportunities for our pupils, but if there is not enough take-up then some may have to be cancelled, which would be a great shame. If you have any trouble signing up, please see the office. Thanks
Good afternoon Ash! Recycling, what would we do without it? I mean, the world couldn't run. If you recycle at your house, well done. However, there are many more things you could do. Instead of throwing away old batteries, you could give them to libraries as most of them have a battery collection! Or old electronics, there is a in outside of Co-op just for electronics or next to the car park. Recycling is free! Get Recycling! That's all from me so have a splendid weekend. Iva
