This week we had a trial inspection of the new OFSTED framework, which was effectively like a real inspection, but without the judgment at the end. The inspectors were really impressed with the pupils, the school, and also enjoyed speaking to parents/carers in the playground.

A big thank you to all the families that donated pencils cases to Ms Owen's school in Kenya. She brought them all over during the half term.
Article from parentinfo.org - Low mood in children
Parent info have lots of great helpful articles focusing on help and advice for families in a digital world. This week we are sharing their article on low mood in children and young people. Click here to read.

Clubs:
The clubs  listed below all have spaces still available. These are fantastic after-school opportunities for our pupils, but if there is not enough take-up then some may have to be cancelled, which would be a great shame. If you have any trouble signing up, please see the office. Thanks

Year6 Journalist Report by Iva
Good afternoon Ash!
This week has been a great start to the term. On Monday, Y6 went to the rubbish tip to learn how to recycle. It was part of our Children's Parliament. Trust me, if you go there, bring a nose clip to block your nose.
Also on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, OFSTED came along to look at our school. Fingers crossed. And finally, on Thursday, Reception went to the Science Museum to support their night and day topic!
That's all from me so have a splendid weekend.
Iva
