There is a open consultation for the proposal to extend the Fox Federation to include a third school, Avonmore Primary. All parents and carers are very welcome to join us for a presentation and Q and A about the proposal at Ash at 5pm on January 17th (this Thursday).
There is a consultation information pack available here, and in paper form at the office. We would love your feedback via a very short survey here. Thank you.
If you or anyone you know is intending on their child attending our Reception this September they need to apply via the RBKC Admissions channel (even if they are in our Nursery, and have siblings already here).
Thanks once again to our friends at Co-op who kindly donated a huge amount of food to Y1 so they could make their fruit kebabs this week.
Year6 Journalist Report by Iva
Good afternoon Ash! Welcome back! I hope everyone had a great holiday and rested. Even though we came back on Tuesday, we have managed to cram in 5 whole days of learning! In Y5, they have been learning about the Titanic. How exciting! Also they have been studying fractions in maths. They have also studied the river Thames and the boroughs of London. Clubs will start next week. If you have not already signed up for a club, then do so, we have new clubs like drama! Have a fun and productive weekend.
Eco Science Committee Report
Happy New Year Ashburnham and welcome back to a new term. Today, we will be talking to you about climate change. Global warming is changing the world at an alarming rate and the summers have begun to get warmer, as well as the temperatures in the winter months rising. The results of this process will be terrible for our world, so we need to do something about it! This year, make some small changes to the way you recycle your waste, think about donating old toys or belongings rather then just throwing them away and try to reduce the amount of plastic you buy and use. If we all work together, we can to to make the world a better place!
