Quote of the week:
'Christmas is like a mince pie: good at a certain time of year, and enjoyable, but when it's done, you're sort of glad.' Ms Roberts

We are proud to announce that the Jingle Bell Sponsored Run raised an amazing £2740!!! This is the most money we've ever raised through a single event, and a fantastic start to the work of the Ashburnham School Association. Many thanks to all the families and staff and the ASA who supported the event. This money will go towards the type of enrichment activities that are so vital to a child's school experience.
We have been ever so lucky to have such great support from our local Cooperative store. They have supplied us with fruit for the Winter Disco and sponsored run, with badges, and with mince pies for a afternoon with our elderly neighbours. Thank you!
Federation Consultation: January 17th, 5pm
There is a open consultation for the proposal to extend the Fox Federation to include a third school, Avonmore Primary. All parents and carers are very welcome to join us for a presentation and Q and A about the proposal.
Help over the Christmas Period
If you or anyone you know need food or toiletries over the holiday period, please don't hesitate to contact the Salvation Army who are putting together care packages for anyone who needs them.

Eco Science Committee Report
Good afternoon Ashburnham!
Well done to everyone for making such a big effort to recycle your waste this term. We have really seen a difference around school, and have had so many bottle lids brought into school to be recycled. Please continue to bring in your used bottle lids and we promise to take them to LUSH to have them recycled properly. We hope you all have a wonderful holiday, and remember to recycle all of your waste correctly.
Festive recycling fact- The amount of wrapping paper thrown away at Christmas in the UK alone would stretch to the moon, according to estimates by recycling advisors WRAP. This, along with around one billion cards and enough tin foil to cover Suffolk, equates to a lot of rubbish generated over the festive period. Please think about ways to reduce the amount of waste you and your family produce at this time of year!
