Our annual Holiday Cheer Drive jumps into full swing tomorrow, as we invite you and others from our communities to meet the needs of nearly 600 local children, as well as adults who are experiencing homelessness this Holiday season.
Embarking on our fourth year of the drive, recipients who reside in, or attend school in Lynn, Marblehead, Salem and Swampscott submit a wish list through their school counselor, homeless education liaison, food pantry director or social worker noting requests in the categories of want, need, wear and read.
Socks. Underwear. Sheets. Tie for a job interview. A video game for a community room gaming console. These gift, provide a child or adult a shared experience or basic necessity which many of us don't think twice about.
Your sponsorship of a wish list or financial gift toward our drive will directly impact a local life, lift a burden and connect you deeper to a neighbor.
Community members interested in sponsoring a wish list are invited to visit our office, 6 Anderson Street Marblehead, between 9a-5p weekdays to select a wish list (to shop from), a name tag (to add a personalized note) and a pillowcase (over 400 of which were handmade throughout the year by volunteers, to places your gift in).
Filled Bundles of Cheer are due by December 6. A full list of locations to both sponsor a wish list and drop off your filled Bundle of Cheer can be found here.
