After a busy summer, our parks and beaches are showing signs of wear and tear. So we are partnering with Sustainable Marblehead on the morning of Saturday, September 17 to clean trash and debris from our green spaces in Lynn, Marblehead, Salem, and Swampscott in honor of International Coastal Clean Up Day.  Join us by signing up to volunteer!

There are several ways that you can participate:

Be a team leader.  In this easy role, you'll be responsible for the clean-up supplies (which we will provide) for your site, as well as providing instructions and support for your volunteer team.  We're in need of 20 additional team leaders.

Be a trash tracker at one of our beach sites.  Keep track the types of debris collected at each beach.  Our partners at Salem Sound Coast Watch will use this information to help scientists and policy makers create data-driven solutions to lessen the threat that ocean plastics pose to our environment.

Be a doer.  Beautify our community's green spaces by cleaning up trash and debris to keep our environment safe, healthy, and trash-free.
Volunteer with us.
It's another busy harvest season in the SPUR Community Roots Garden at St. Andrew's.  Join us daily to weed, water, harvest, or deliver fresh produce to local organizations fighting food insecurity in our community.

Join us in the SPUR office to pin, cut, iron, and sew colorful cotton pillowcases to be used for Bundles of Cheer for the SPUR Holiday Cheer Drive.  Whether you're an experienced seamster or new to needlework, come create with us.

Providing a hot, nutritious meal for neighbors facing food insecurity is a fun, easy way to volunteer as a family.  Volunteer with your favorite sous chef to prepare 10 servings of a healthy dinner at home to be served at a local shelter.
Through our partnership with Shubie's and Crosby's, SPUR's food rescue program delivers prepared food that would otherwise go to waste to organizations fighting food insecurity thanks to volunteers like you.  Learn more and become a food rescue volunteer today.
Join SPUR & Beyond Walls for a special edition of Trashbags to the Streets on Saturday, September 10.  Learn about the culture, stories, and history of some of the most well-known murals in Lynn while helping to beautify the streets.  During this tour, we will also visit new locations and see mural artists in action as they add to the already beautiful landscape of Lynn.   Volunteers and art enthusiasts of all ages are welcome to sign up!  Space is limited so sign up today!
