CISS in November 2019

Do you know? This November we are celebrating 50 years of our Cortes Island ferry!

You can read the newspaper articles from 50 years ago, published in The Campbell River / Upper Islander on November 26, 1969, in our pdf newsletter. Also, drop in to the Cortes Museum at the end of November, for a mini-exhibit related to the Cortes Ferry.

Ginnie Ellingsen

Our beloved Ginnie Ellingsen passed away at home on October 14, surrounded by family and a few close friends.
There will be a Graveside Service for Ginnie at Manson's Cemetery on Saturday, November 2, at 10:30 a.m.
A Celebration of Life will follow immediately at Manson's Hall at 12 noon.

Charles Crossland

So much loved by many in our community, Charles Crossland became Cortes Island Seniors Society member in September 2019. A celebration of his life will be held at Manson's Hall at 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 2.
