Given New CDC COVID Guidelines (on July 27, 2021)
The St. Luke Council has put forward the following recommendations for our worship practices:
1)  8:15 outdoor service: wearing of masks is optional but recommended for non-vaccinated attendees.  Singing is optional for all.
2)  10:30 indoor service:  wearing of masks is recommended for all attendees.  Singing is optional for all.
We institute these changes with the recognition that things are moving quickly and we are trying to be responsible and responsive, with a bias towards caution.

Tribute to Jim Rasmussen
From Pauleta Hendrickson, St. Luke Director of Music Ministries
It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of Jim Rasmussen's death earlier this week. Jim served as one of our substitute organists during Nancy's sabbatical. But, that is only a minor part of his gifts to our community. Jim was our organ consultant during the planning, design, and installation of our Cassavant organ. St Luke and the organ community will feel his loss deeply.
I enjoyed his wit, his engaging stories, and his love of music. May his memory be for blessing.

From Jim's daughter, Lori Davis
Many of you know already, but for some this email may be your first news of the death of my father, Jim Rasmussen. He died in his home on Monday, August 9th. My mother and I were here to be with him at the time.
We will be holding a service for him on Saturday, August 14th. The viewing is at 10:00 and the funeral will begin at 11:00. Both are at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 12701 Indian School Rd. I know many of you will not be able to make it, so I have pasted in a Zoom link at the bottom of this email. There is also a link for the Tribute Wall, where we hope you will share your memories and photos of him.
For those who do want to attend in person, you may want to know that my father did have Covid-19. Some of our family was exposed, but all of us have passed the contagious period.
