Hello Aynho!

THE RULE OF SIX!

It’s been another busy month in this Covid19 world.  The government has a new slogan – Hands, Face, Space encouraging everyone to keep going and keep vigilant in the fight against Coronavirus.  It’s also worth noting that gatherings of more than 6 people are now against the law in many cases from Monday 14 September 2020 until the government repeals it.  This rule however has many exceptions, so for the moment the Village Hall is remaining open to try and help ensure life continues as normally as possible.  If you attend any of the numerous classes on offer at the Village Hall, all hirers have been asked to ensure that they have taken the necessary precautions to make it Covid safe and the Village Hall will be deep cleaned on a regular basis.

CAR BOOT 2020: THANKS!

The Parish Council was delighted that the annual Aynho Car Boot Sale was able to go ahead on Monday 31 August.  The sun even obliged by showing its face and the event raised just under £700 for the sport pavilion and field.  It’s been 3 years now since the event started and it has raised over £2000 in total to fill Aynho Active’s coffers.  Hopefully villagers can see the results in the improved look and feel of the pavilion and additional sports facilities available to all.

AYNHO PARISH COUNCIL WELCOMES NEW COUNCILLORS!

Finally, the Parish Council is up to full strength once more and we welcome Councillors Liz Hadley And David Icke, of Blacksmiths Hill and Croughton Road respectively.  For the first time in living memory (sort of) we were oversubscribed with villagers wanting to get involved and we thank everyone who expressed an interest.  It’s great to see so much engagement across such a wide cross section of Aynho.

If you know a neighbour or others that doesn't use email and would like a hard copy of this newsletter or St Michael's newsletter please email (on their behalf) to 'newsletter@aynho.org' or call Chris Wilson (the Clerk to the Parish Council) on 07887 548774. Thanks.

Finally, in these strange times, don’t forget that if you need help, you only have to reach out.  Aynho has willing volunteers ready to help out.  Stay Positive, Stay Alert, Stay Kind.
