Whether you’re just starting your business, operating as a side-hustle taking cash or Venmo payments, or just don’t know where to begin your entrepreneurial journey, you need a solid foundation.

Mohawk Valley Community College offers regular Refinery sprints which are perfect for entrepreneurs who have a full-time, part-time or side hustle they want to accelerate. Refinery Foundations is the blueprint, the launchpad, and the toolkit to help you start.

Each week they will meet and cover a core concept necessary for success in your new business, hold group discussions and assign deliverables that will help you launch. We hold you accountable to make decisions to move things forward.

You’ll discover if and when you’re ready to start your business, what goes into a profitable idea, get financial literate, form a business entity and more.

Foundations meets 1x week for 4 weeks at thINCubator, or we have a hybrid option available. Tuition is free but you must apply online. They’ll be curating a small group for this upcoming cohort.

This program begins January 11, 2023!

Or Growing Your Business?

The Refinery is an multiple week program that accepts applications for teams/ companies with a mission to accelerate. The thINCubator offers the group program for up to 6 to 8 teams at a time.

The Refinery is for new entrepreneurs who understand their business idea, and who have a beta product, existing service, prototype or side-hustle. They focus on setting measurable goals and work with you to aggressively accelerate your business – growing it in the company of other entrepreneurs.

The program is free and open to both MVCC students and community members, but you must apply. Participants are invited who are at similar points in their business and demonstrate a commitment to complete the program.

The program begins February 8, 2023!

The St. Lawrence County Business Connections Committee is pleased to partner with the St. Lawrence-Lewis Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) for special informational programs and student-led tours at each of the three Tech Centers in St. Lawrence County.
