The St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce looks forward to hosting the 2023 FISU World University Games’ Organizing Committee for a virtual Information Session with local leaders, businesses and community members on November 23rd at 10am. (Feel free to zoom in while you are preparing Thanksgiving goodies!) 

Call in, or join by computer, smart phone or tablet. Instructions will be delivered upon registration. Please forward this invite along to others who may be interested. If you can not attend live, please register in order to receive the recording.

In January 2023, the preliminary hockey games, with representation from countries across the world will play in Canton and Potsdam. Opportunities for businesses, youth sports, volunteers and service groups will be available. Join the information session meeting to learn more and ask your questions.

Empire State Seed Funding Program

The New York State Seed Funding Grant Program (the “Program”) was created to provide assistance to early-stage small businesses to succeed in a recovering New York State economy.

  • Grant amounts up to $25,000
  • Must be a currently viable Micro-business, Small business, or For-profit arts and cultural organization including independent arts contractors that started business on September 1, 2018 or later and has been operational for at least six months before an application is submitted;
  • Eligible Applicants must provide evidence, acceptable to New York State that the Eligible Applicant is operational and meets the Program requirements.
  • Due to a limited amount of funding and the high volume of requests expected, business type, geography and industry may factor into ability to receive a grant.
