TEAMology is a culmination of decades of research and side-by-side teaching with the most renowned experts in bullying prevention. It was designed by practitioners in collaboration with Penn State University and delivers a systematic method of fully integrating social emotional learning (SEL) into everyday teaching and seamlessly aligning with behavioral interventions, legislation, and other frameworks that support student learning. This alignment creates a vehicle for common, school-wide language and context that provides immersive reinforcement from K-8.
Through a partnership with Intermediate Unit 1, a regional consortium that collaborates with school districts and provides vital specialized support services for students, grants from the Marcus L. Ruscitto Charitable Foundation have been allocated for the implementation of TEAMology at select schools in more than a dozen area school districts including: Brownsville, California, Canon McMillan, McGuffey, Pittsburgh Public, Trinity, and Uniontown.
The Marcus L. Ruscitto Charitable Foundation has made grants for the implementation of this program in the Pittsburgh region as part of its 2019 - 2020 campaign. Multiple on-air announcements about the program join more than a dozen others airing on WQED and AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh.
