Dear <<First Name>>
The temperatures outside are dropping, but there's still never a dull moment at the bike collective. Check out what we have going on this month!

Community Rides

We know it's getting cold, but we can't resist a few more jaunts out on our bikes with friends. Layer up, and remember gloves! We'll have a good time:)

A Final Autumn Hurrah!

Fall colors are fading, and winter is around the corner. Let's give one last hurrah to fall by wearing our most colorful autumn outfits on a fun ride.

BONUS!!! Women's Safe Urban Cycling Training

Feel nervous about riding on the road? It can be intimidating in an area where car culture rules. Join us Saturday November 9th at 10am for an on-your-bike active training session on best practices for safe riding! Can't make it to this one? No worries, we'll host another training in the Spring.

Holiday Bike Drive Preparations

Do you remember the first bike that you got? Biking around the neighborhood with friends gives kids a kind of freedom, autonomy and joy thats unparalleled. Help us get bicycles to as many unprivlidged kids this holiday season. There's more than one way to have an impact!

Encircle Summit

Encircle is another Utah based non-profit that seeks to deepen and enrich conversation among communities and LGBTQ+ people. Their largest event of the year, the Encircle Summit, is coming up. There are typically 1,000+ attendees, and a range of speakers, and workshops to attend. Whether you are LGBTQ+, or a parent, ally or educator, there's something for you!

We had a Great Time at Bike Prom!!

Provo Promenade (aka Bike Prom) was a blast. It was great celebrating with so many people who support the bicycle collective. We went on a fun ride and then had a dance INSIDE the bicycle collective. It was cool to see our lil' bike shop can be transformed into a party venue:)

New Protected Bike Lane!

The improvements on Cougar Blvd area a HUGE win for Provo's bike infrastructure. Bike commuting is healthier for us, and also healthier for our air quality, so it's critical to develop networks of bikeways people can commute safely on.

Executive Meeting!

Donna McAleer, our new Executive Director,  came to this month's staff meeting. Donna has decades of nonprofit and public sector leadership and fundraising experience. We appreciate her commitment to unifying the four bicycle collective locations, and her vision for growth of our non-profit work!

First Women's Bike Summit

Recent screen line counts showed only about 26% of bike trips made in Provo are taken by female cyclists. In light of this disparity, we want to know how to better support women who are interested in bike commuting.

Volunteer Impact

Goodwill Bikes Distributed

In October we were able to give away nine goodwill bikes from our location thanks to the work of our volunteers. But that's just one piece of a larger story, and it adds up to a huge impact. Last year the bicycle collective got 1,502 individuals in need their own bikes!

Volunteer Hours

So how much work adds up to that impact? Last month volunteers provided 395 hours of their time towards fixing goodwill bikes, and supporting our programs. That's the equivalent of one person working for 16 days straight round the clock!
