At Terrigal Uniting Church we are doing all we can to keep people safe and healthy over the Christmas period.
After the government’s latest update today, our leadership met to seriously consider if we should proceed with our Christmas services.
After much deliberation, taking into account the government advice, and the importance of Christmas for so many people, we have decided to proceed with our Christmas Services with some very clear restrictions and guidelines in place for those still planning to attend.
This will include:
Compulsory mask wearing for all in attendance (with the exception of children under 12 and those leading worship)
Temperature taking at the door
Sadly no singing as per the government mandate - although we'll still have our carols led by the band!
No mingling before or after the service
We have also reduced our attendance numbers to comply with the 4 square metre rule which has been re-implemented by the government. This means that some of our services are now at capacity, so if you do not plan to attend please let us know as soon as possible.
Don’t forget we will be live-streaming our 5pm Christmas Eve Service and 9:45am Christmas Day service which will give everyone the opportunity to engage with Christmas this year, whether you choose to attend in person or from home!
Finally thank you all so much for your understanding at this difficult time. We know some of these restrictions will be challenging for many of you, but we are doing this to ensure the safety of everyone in our community.
