COVID Update

In light of the current Covid restrictions (as of Friday 25th June), these are the things you need to know regarding church over the coming week:
  • Worship will go ahead as usual, however masks are mandatory and there will be no congregational singing
  • There will be no morning tea held after the services
  • The congregational meeting has been postponed (date TBA)
  • If you have even the mildest of cold symptoms please stay home and watch via the live-stream
  • The Repair Cafe on Saturday has been cancelled
  • The Working Bee on Saturday has been cancelled
  • The Youth Holiday Club may still go ahead on Monday, with increased restrictions such as mask-wearing (TBC).
  • We are looking at options to postpone KHC to the following week, however if restrictions are still in place or it becomes too hard, it will need to be cancelled. We will confirm next week.
  • Small groups meeting onsite in Calvin or Annie's room are limited to 7 people (if this is an issue let Claire know)
Of course, if restrictions heighten between now and Sunday there may be some further changes, so if that happens we'll send you an updated email asap.

Minister's Message

I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for the way you have been so generous with our May congregational project. Our fundraising for Edward Eagar lodge has raised $5645.00 and there may have been even more that went to Wesley Mission in other ways.

As a church your willingness to participate in God's mission and your support for this and other projects is always wonderful to see.

In the midst of looking at some difficult things around the world with the struggles of COVID-19, it is great that our church can be a window into the Kingdom of God through our generosity and actions.

I lift up my eyes to the hills –
from where will my help come?
My help comes from the LORD,
who made heaven and earth.
Psalm 121: 1-2

Some prayer points are listed on our prayer boards at church:
If you have a prayer request, you can email it to, or place a note in the prayer jar (near the prayer boards) at church.

A Note of Thanks

Faye Reid, Michael, Susan and Elizabeth thank TUC for the many kindnesses and messages following Laurie's death.

Our special appreciation to you all for helping the family celebrate Laurie's thanksgiving service.

This includes those who assisted in the conduct of the service, the wonderful catering and for your presence with us.

To be enfolded in your love will remain with us forever.

Blessings and love,

(Special thanks to Richard)

Kids and Youth

We are looking at options to postpone KHC to the following week, however if restrictions are still in place or it becomes too hard, it will need to be cancelled. Youth Holiday Club may still go ahead with mask wearing mandatory. We'll provide an update on both of these events soon.

Repair Cafe

The Repair Cafe this Saturday has also unfortunately been cancelled, as well as the working bee that happens at the same time. If all is well, the next Repair Cafe will go ahead on July 31st.

If you haven't yet secured your place for church camp, please contact us soon!

There are 3 cabins left, and a few tent/caravan sites.
