Returning to on-site worship

Worship gatherings will reccomence in the building, starting next Sunday October 11th.

This will apply to all three Sunday services: 8am, 9:45am and 6pm.
The Tuesday 11am service will return on Tuesday 20th October.

Pre-registration is essential as there is a limited number of people allowed in the church at any given time. Registration will be a weekly requirement, to give everyone the chance to attend and give us an accurate idea of numbers.

To register, visit https://terrigalunitingchurch.com/register

Here are some of the things you can expect when returning to on-site worship.
Our 8am and 9:45am services will continue to be streamed online for anyone who does not feel comfortable returning to gathered worship at this stage.

We look forward to seeing many of you again in person soon!
Next Tuesday (6th Oct) we are holding a cleaning day to get the church fresh and ready for people to return. If you are free and would like to help, please drop by between 9am-12pm. Jobs include cleaning windows and kitchen areas, and tidying/de-cluttering various rooms.

Upcoming Events

On Sunday we celebrate Holy Communion. I wonder what are your thoughts and feelings as we come to share the bread and cup?

Though I was brought up in a church-going family, communion always puzzled me. Mind you, as we attended a Presbyterian church, children were sent out before the sacrament!  So it was a mystery to me – what was it adults did in there?

However after I accepted Christ as my Saviour, I started to look forward to going to the Lord’s table. I now find the first verse of Brian Wren’s hymn I come with joy is very helpful.

I come with joy to meet my Lord,
                Forgiven, loved and free,
In awe and wonder to recall
His life laid down for me.

So I believe that the risen Jesus is welcoming me to share this meal with him – the real, actual Jesus. I have reaffirmed that through his death my sins are forgiven, so I am freed from the bondage of guilt, and I am truly loved just as I am. So communion is there because of what Christ has done at great cost, and this time should not be treated casually or trivialised.

Friends, read on the rest of the hymn (Together in Song #533} and enjoy the breadth of meaning in this sacred time with fellow- believers and our common Lord.
