Sunday 20th December 2020

This is our last newsletter for 2020, and we will be taking a break over the next month, returning January 31st.

We pray that you all have a blessed Christmas and New Year, with time to rest and recover, ready for a new year ahead.
Here are couple of important things to note for the next few weeks:
On Sunday 27th December we will be combining all 3 Sunday services into ONE SERVICE at 10am. Our 8am, 9:45am and 6pm congregations are all encouraged to attend at 10am, as this will be the only service on that day.
On Sunday 10th, 17th and 24th January we have guest speakers visiting our morning services to explore our January/February focus goal: "Sharing Faith".
Our first Repair Cafe is coming up in February. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered so far. If you can help with this don't forget to let us know as soon as possible via this form (also available in hard-copy at the church).
Remembrance, Grief & Loss Service - Tuesday 22nd December, 6:30pm

Christmas Eve - 3pm, 5pm, 7pm, 11pm

Christmas Day - 8am & 9:45am

Register for these services on our website
We're excited to announce that Benny the donkey will be visiting us on Christmas Eve! He will be here from 6pm, which means he'll be there at the end of our 5pm service. If you're attending one of the other service times, feel free to drop in again to say hi!

Minister's message

My favourite Christmas prayer/cartoon is from Michael Leunig:
As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ - the one who offers us hope, life, eternity, love - may we open ourselves up to that love being born in our lives.

May it not be a surface thing placed onto our face like a mask. May Christ be born in to our lives and take root deep within our being.

This week we give thanks and praise God for...

  • The opportunity to celebrate Christmas with family & friends
  • Australia’s Government leaders and health advisors
  • Our emergency workers
  • Richard and staff
Some additional points are listed on our prayer boards at church:
