CEnet Visit to Bathurst Diocese

Earlier in May the CEnet Customer Experience (CX) Team took the opportunity to engage face to face with the Bathurst Diocese CESIS and CEFMS teams in Bathurst. The visit aimed to explore opportunities for improvement across our service delivery activities and to capture feedback to support ongoing improvements to the CEnet service delivery capability.

“Meeting with the Diocese team face to face and in their local environment provides a richer engagement with less distraction from everyday tasks and we appreciate the chance to spend the time working with the whole team in Bathurst.” said Phil Egan, Service Delivery Manager - CX.

“By meeting in our members' offices, we have the opportunity to build a more personal relationship with the people we’ve been supporting remotely, particularly over the last 12 months and this develops strong empathy within our team, which in turn helps us to better serve our members.”

“It was also the first time some of our CEnet team members had met each other face to face!”

Discussions throughout the day focused on areas for improvement, challenges the Bathurst team were facing with their ONCE project rollout and future goals and opportunities.
L-R: Gloria Ahern (CEnet), Sheree Ashcroft (School Admin, St Philomena's), Sue Diggins (CEnet), Phil Egan (CEnet), Jaydem Hadson (Principal St Philomena's), Jonathan Foley (CEnet), Angela Johnson (AP, St Philomena's), Kelli Gibbs (ONCE Project, CEDB)
The day also gave the team the opportunity to visit one of the local schools that has recently moved into the CESIS Ancestry environment. An experience that is invaluable for the CEnet team and based on feedback from the school, something that was well received.

St Philomena’s school principal Jaydem Hadson said “Most impressive was the feeling of energy and passion the team have for providing a great product for schools. I believe the school visits are a great concept. I would encourage the team to do it at least yearly.”

The CEnet team came away from the day feeling energised and keen to spend more time with our members and school communities. If you’re interested in hosting the team, or looking for opportunities to connect, please contact to Phil Egan via email

CEnet and the Vinnies CEO Sleepout

CEnet's interim CEO Vicki Anderson is taking her time in the hot seat to make a difference!
Vicki is participating in the 2021 Vinnies CEO Sleepout to raise much needed funds and awareness around homelessness.

With more than 17,000 Australian children under 12 having no permanent address, we really need to do all we can to understand the complexities around homelessness and to break the cycle.

If you are interested in talking to children about homelessness, this resource from the St Vincent de Paul Society may be of interest.
