We all have a talent or two.  Something we enjoy doing and are good at. One thing many of us are not great at is understanding just because I am good at something it does not mean our child (or children) will be. We need to look at their strengths when trying to raise our kids and not our own.

The lies we tell our children are used for their protection and your secrecy. Sometimes we use a little white lie because we don't know the right answer and other times we're just too lazy to go about finding or explaining the right answer.

Parents, be Good to Yourself. Your Kids See You

Being a parent today is not for the faint of heart.  Running every night from one activity to another.  Sometimes what seems like in multiple directions at the same time.  There is barely time for sleep let alone personal time for yourself.  Without sounding selfish, I think it is important to take care of yourself.  Not just for the obvious reasons, but because your kids are watching.
