The home of comfy beds & scrummy breakfasts

Featured in the Michelin Guide A beautiful, stylish approach to bed and breakfast accommodation, right on the edge of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National parks and with stunning views across to the Lakeland Fells.

Last month our Visit England inspector paid us an unexpected call, 5* Gold again.

Team 43 are celebrating the fact we are in the top 7% of Bed and Breakfasts in England.

Breakfast is fresh, local tasty and has been awarded a Visit England Breakfast Award which is a complement to our suppliers as well as our chef!

Cartmel race season is well underway, The next races are in a few days time, August Bank Holiday weekend. Just hop on the train to Grange-over-sands, 5 minutes later take a taxi (pre booked) over the fell you are in Cartmel within 15 minutes. (Or you can take the bus from Cark-in-Cartmel station).

Summer is really passing too quickly, believe it or not we have served breakfast outside several times, without umbrellas!

Soon the geese will be collecting over the bay, a wonderful sight against the evening sunset, the RSPB will be busy with migrating birds, before that Arnside’s vintage on the Prom is on September 14th and notification has come through that our Firework display is on Saturday 2nd November.

Thanks to the firework display team’s hard work, it has become so renowned The Northern Bell now stops on the Viaduct for its customers to watch the display.

Suite 2 has been booked out for that weekend, Suite 7 is still available and of course Number 43 terrace is a phenomenal viewpoint. For those who know Arnside but have not witnesses the display, imagine the promenade car free packed from the Albion to The Fighting Cocks with the display set off at the end of the pier.

We are still awaiting the outcome of the feasibility study for a new cycle & walkway across Arnside Viaduct, forming a new link between Morecambe and Barrow, concurrently a two million pound application is being submitted for the refurbishment of Grange-Over-Sands Lido, just one stop on the train.

The proposed Eden Project North (Morecambe) is gathering momentum. MPs, City Council, Lancaster University and the Eden Project team, part of Eden Project Cornwall is hoping to put in full planning permission for the 80 million pound project in 2020 with the opening autumn 2022.
