Hello From Sunny Palm Desert!

We are in the middle of our stay at Palm Springs RV Park in Palm Desert, CA. We really love it here! It’s a Thousand Trails resort, and even though it’s the tightest spot we’ve ever been in, it’s one of our favorite parks so far. The vibe here is fun and friendly. We have lots of RVs on all sides of us, but the park is full of happy people surrounded by palm trees and nice weather… pretty amazing.

The families in this park have a Facebook messenger group thread where people can do things like… ask for a cup of sugar, ask for help with a truck issue or see if anyone wants to have a play date at the pool! We were added by a friend who was already here when we arrived.

We had a super fun fire and music night the other night.
The adults met up around the campfire, and the kids watched an outdoor movie in the back yard area! We didn’t even get to the music part because we let the night get away from us as we chatted and laughed for hours!

We have found the best community within the group of full time RV families we’ve met.

It’s great to be able to bounce ideas off each other regarding homeschooling and travel and compare notes about places we’ve been and things we’ve seen!

Homeschooling On The Road
I get asked a LOT about how we homeschool and what it looks like when you travel full time. For those of you who just started following us, we left our house in Johns Creek, GA on November 5th of last year, so we’ve only been on the road for a little over 3 months.  We’re big time newbies with homeschooling, but you can read about what we’ve figured out works for us so far (link at the bottom of the newsletter).

As for next fall, we may decide to go a different route, and I’ll update you when/if that happens!

How We Make A Living On The Road
Another big question we get is how we make money on the road. You can read all about that HERE

We also get asked a lot about our expenses on the road. You can read about what our first month on the road looked like financially HERE

We write blog posts on each place we visit, including where we stay and what we do at each location, so if you’re interested in our travels, check out our BLOG!

Feel free to hit REPLY and let me know if you have any questions about homeschooling I didn’t cover in the article after you read it! You can also comment under the actual post with questions or comments you may have.

Until next time...Peace Out!
