Our Last Hurrah in Southern California

Howdy, howdy! The last time you heard from us, we were arriving at the Grand Canyon. Let me tell you… we were BLOWN AWAY by the majestic beauty of that place. To be honest, I had wondered if I’d be impressed. We have just seen so many beautiful places in our travels, I wondered if the Grand Canyon was overrated and was curious to see for myself. Wow, was I wrong. It was a sight you had to see in person to appreciate. A jaw dropping kind of wonder.

We had quite an experience at the Grand Canyon, and I can’t wait to tell you all about it! I’m still working on the  blog post for that, so be on the lookout for it in our next newsletter!
After leaving the Grand Canyon, we boondoocked in Sedona, AZ for several nights.

Sedona was gorgeous too!

We did some amazing hikes that I’ll also share with you in our next newsletter! We highly recommend the spot where we boondocked and will share all those details with you soon.
After Sedona, we spent the next 4 nights back in our favorite RV park yet- Palm Springs RV Resort in Palm Desert, CA. Our first time in that park was in February and we loved the vibe and people there. We found out we had some traveling friends there again, so we met up for a fun-filled four days in March! It was even warmer, and we snagged a larger space than before, making this time even better than the first stay!

We’re now back in Calimesa for the final time, moochdocking at Aaron’s sister’s house! We love our time here so much because we get to visit with our family and build such a sweet relationship with our 1.5 year old niece, Mya.

When we leave here in about 5 days, we will begin our trek up the west coast- first stop, Santa Barbara! We love Santa Barbara and look forward to checking out the Thousand Trails resort there.
One thing I’m passionate about is being frugal and saving money. I wrote a blog post about how we save money on the road, and some of the suggestions apply whether you’re a traveler or not!
